Guji Hambela is an expressive specialty coffee from Ethiopia, grown by a community of about 150 smallholder farmers in Hambella, Guji. The coffee cherries ripen at elevations ranging from 1,950 to 2,200 meters above sea level, where the altitude, climate, and terroir give this coffee its distinct origin and distinctive character. The coffee processed here is Ethiopian Heirloom Arabica, a variety known for its complexity, elegance, and unmistakable aroma. The coffee is processed using the dry process (natural method). It is then slowly sun-dried for 3 to 4 weeks on elevated drying beds. It is precisely this slow drying process that builds depth and gives the profile its rich, juicy, yet clean character in the cup. In the cup, the Guji Hambela delivers exactly what you’d expect from a robust Ethiopian Natural: sweet peach, dark chocolate, jasmine, pomegranate, orange, and a juicy, slightly winey fruitiness. Added to this are a crisp, sweet-tart acidity, spicy exotic nuances, and a smooth, chocolatey mouthfeel with a long finish. A coffee with intensity, elegance, and that wild clarity that makes Guji so special.

About the Roastery
Nano roastery from the Zurich Wyland. Bitterness. Acidity. Chaos. Power. - This is not a mistake. That's the plan. Armando Nappi roasts what he knows in Rheinau in the Zurich wine country: coffee with attitude. Canephora, fermented preparations, premium origins from all over the world - no mainstream. Straight. A member of the Slow Food Coffee Coalition since 2025, one of only three roasteries in Switzerland with this seal of quality. Fair before convenient. Real before simple.
