Precise processing, social involvement of the Jarai community and sustainable cultivation methods result in an exceptionally complex Robusta with a full body, gentle acidity and sweet-spicy depth. IN THE TASSE Macadamia, cocoa nibs, white peach and forest honey. Full, creamy body with gentle acidity and a spicy-sweet, long-lasting aftertaste. A Robusta with clarity, structure and depth - powerful but balanced. Jaime Sanchez - Las Flores is a natural-process espresso from Guatemala, produced by Jaime Sanchez on the Finca Las Flores in Jumaytepeque, Santa Rosa, at 1,885 m above sea level. The coffee is medium-dark roasted and interprets the classic espresso style with a focus on sweetness, depth and balance - strong, but not over-roasted. IN THE TASSE Dark chocolate, dark caramel and raisin, complemented by a fine tangerine acidity that gives the espresso vibrancy. Strong body, dense texture and a long, warm depth in the finish. A classic espresso with sweetness and structure - full and round, without bitterness or burnt notes. Single Origin (Brasilien)

Blend of the best Arabica from Alta Mogiana in Brazil. The taste is characterized by milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts and is complemented by notes of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. The pleasant sweetness ends in a lingering finish. This coffee is ideal for espresso and espresso-based specialties such as cappuccino, latte macchiato or Americano, as well as cold brew. A portafilter machine, mocha pot (Bialetti) or fully automatic machine is recommended for preparation.

La Mezcla de Los Tres - México & Guatemala Blend

This blend is set to become an all-rounder and is already turning people's heads in Basel! The blend is made up of 1/3 Monte Albán, 1/3 Los Volcanes and 1/3 Soconusco. It has lots of nutty, chocolate and woody notes. Depending on how it is prepared, you can detect slight dark fruit notes from the Los Volcanes coffee, but it has very little acidity and all the more body. The strong side comes from the dry-processed Soconusco Robusta, which is grown in organic quality in Chiapas. The Arabica from Oaxaca, marketed under the Monte Albán label, also grows in organic quality. Its hazelnut and chocolate flavors could not be missing in this blend. Los Volcanes has body, nougat and these sometimes slightly dark fruits. All in all, it is a classic coffee that is slightly reminiscent of the last Italian vacation thanks to its strong Robusta, but is by no means boring. Italian but reinterpreted, tradition from young hands - a pleasure for the whole group without stealing the show from the host.

México El Cerezo

Pure Typica variety from the beautiful state of Oaxaca. A very balanced taste profile: stone fruits blend with citrus fruit and the light rhubarb note remains in the background, a caramel sweetness and medium acidity round off the whole. The coffee comes from Finca El Cerezo and is produced in an environmentally friendly mixed culture. It is marketed by Caravela Coffee under the label Monte Albán - an archaeological city of the Zapotecs which rests on the hill next to the present-day city of Oaxaca.

Guatemala la Quebrada

Match! A filter coffee that perfectly complements the somos coffee range and will hopefully soon enchant your morning. It has a milk chocolate base with a touch of malt. As malty as Ovomaltine cookies. Notes of cassis and grapefruit are layered on top. The sweetness and the acidity, which reminds me of grapefruit, make it very lively and complex to drink. The size of the beans is very exciting: this is the Pacamara variety, a cross between Paca and Maragogype - it is rare to have such large beans in the grinder.

Monte Albán, Vazquez & Lopez

The Vazquez and Lopez families are united under the Monte Albán label. An organically produced coffee from Mexico, more precisely from the state of Oaxaca. This medium roast tastes of hazelnut and chocolate, has a pleasant sweetness reminiscent of cane sugar and a lighter body. A light to medium acidity enters the cup, with a clear citrus note. Very pleasant and smooth as a cappuccino, but even better as a flat white. This is where the Nutella side really comes into its own. For me, this is also a coffee that is extremely enjoyable black as a Doppio or extended à la Americano (Méxicano).

Monte Albán Decaf

Monte Albán but without caffeine, don't let the moonlight keep you awake. Enjoy a really good coffee no matter what time it is. An organically produced coffee from Mexico, decaffeinated with Mexican mountain water. I deliberately don't roast this Decaf too hard. As a result, it has really delicious flavors of milk chocolate, cane sugar and slightly spicy notes reminiscent of nutmeg. The coffee has a medium acidity, which makes it lively and it even tastes delicious as a pour-over! The label has deliberately been given a "special" touch. This makes DECAF stand out from other coffees. The white dot symbolizes the moonlight that sometimes accompanies you on a sleepless night - don't worry, this coffee will let you sleep

México Los Carriles Natural - Segelschiffkaffee

Finally a natural filter coffee from Mexico again! This coffee came to Hamburg by sailing ship from Finca Los Carriles - sustainability in a social and ecological way. When brewed, the coffee tastes of dark chocolate and has berry notes of blackberry and blueberry as well as a slightly spicy side of cinnamon and cedar. somos café has been part of the sailing ship project since it was founded and was the first roastery in Basel to offer direct trade sailing ship coffee.

Fondo Paez - Kolumbien

Description: Reminiscent of cherry blossom, orange, brown sugar, grape. A top-quality coffee from Colombia. This coffee is cultivated in a cooperative in which only indigenous farmers produce coffee, located in the Valle del Cauca, one of the best coffee regions in the country. The Paez, who also call themselves Nasa, or "the people", are the largest indigenous group in Colombia. Fondo Paez was founded with the aim of reviving and preserving indigenous culture and traditional agricultural knowledge after many years of oppression. The farmers receive per kilo of coffee: US$ 11.10 Light roast, very balanced, fruity and yet sweet. Incidentally, it also works wonderfully in a mocha pot (Bialetti)... However, we mainly drink Fondo Paez as a filter or as an espresso in a portafilter machine. Ready to drink 10 days after roasting date.
